Duality OCT - Gedby *Loki-Wings

Well, I changed my mind about my character for Duality, and I’m glad I did. My old app was bothering me something awful, but I’m satisfied with this one. I already cleared everything up with the Mods, so Ged is now my competitor ^^

I feel like I should try drawing kids more often. Besides that, omg. I have such a soft-spot for ginger kids. I just think they’re so adorkable! I even made sure the team was colour co-ordinated

Age: 14

History:
Ged is a street performer who specialises in fire. Fire-eating, fire-breathing, fire-walking; juggling and tricks involving tightropes are also often performed. He is very good at what he does, and some people even think he has a touch of magic about him due to the fact that he can walk over hot coals and walk through flames without a hint of pain or danger. This is, of course, not magic but rather determination, sensory control and some intelligent use of Samar’s “Protect”. He does burn himself on occasion though, so he always seems to be wearing bandages.

Ged has been performing in the streets for several years now, and he does it in order to earn more money to help support his family, who are very poor. He has three younger siblings all under ten years old, so as the eldest he believed it to be his duty to try and make life a little easier for his overworked and underfed parents. Ged was entrusted with his mother’s pokemon, Prince, as he spends lots of time away from home and she wanted a trusted friend to watch over her son.

One day, Enna approached Ged with a piece of paper she had found. On it were the details of a Mage Academy, and the news that it was having application try-outs. Ged began to ruminate over this information for a few days, but slowly a new fire began to burn in his eyes. If he took this opportunity and managed to earn a place in the Guild, he would be able to research his true passion in life. Ged always had an affinity for Fire pokemon, and had been pondering for years over how they controlled their flames, how they regulated them and where exactly the flames originated from. Now was his chance to be able to find out, to do that research himself and be the one to discover the answers! If he did that, maybe he could even rescue his family from poverty…

And so, on that appointed day he dutifully made his way to the Guild, hoping to change his future; both nervous and determined knowing what is at stake for him.

Personality:
Ged is quite a happy-go-lucky kind of guy; he takes whatever comes to him and deals with it as best he can. He’s also a very hard worker and is used to hardship from his life in a peasant family; meaning that he can hold up well under conditions of hunger, tiredness and cold. However, there is a certain fire of pride in him which means he hates asking for help and doesn’t like to admit when he can’t do something, or when he is scared. He’s also sociable and likes to be around people, getting lonely quite easily. Ged is quite an insecure person though, especially concerning his place in society. He has a hot temper, and hates to be insulted- in which case he’ll lose it pretty fast and snap at the offending person, then be sulky and grumpy. Ged can be very stubborn at times too, and if he sets his mind on something he will be loath to give up on the idea or endeavour.

Pokemon Info:

Samar (Growlithe)
Cocky and cheerful, Samar is a loyal growlithe and Ged’s best friend. He’s protective, but not in an overbearing way, and he enjoys showing off his power in battle, or when performing with his fire. He can be a bit of a joker too, but his jokes are actually rather terrible and no-one finds them funny.

Prince (Typhlosion)
The eldest on the team; Prince once belonged to Ged’s mother and earned his name by being rather pompous and stuck-up. Despite this, he is indeed a very regal and elegant pokemon and also extremely smart. He tries to give advice to the others, but Ged is quite pig-headed and doesn’t always listen to him.

Enna (Darumaka)
She’s a bit of a strange pokemon… She doesn’t make much noise and has an unnerving habit of just silently staring at people until they get creeped out and walk away from her. Because of her size, she is very agile and quick and good at doing acrobatic tricks. Enna is the newest addition to the team and was found one morning, having snuck into Ged’s tent to snuggle up to Prince’s flames. Prince was not impressed, and since then he’s never quite sure what to make of her.}
